I am not part of the Harris clan - just an ol' boy from Taber. We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with Marion and Mindy and he told me about this site so I came to visit. It was fun to read and see some familiar names and I particularly enjoyed the family picture on your home page. We have family websites for various family lines and they are a great way to keep in touch. Good luck. I'll come back to visit again.

I met a lot of the descendents of TW Harris in Canada when I attended the Harris Family Seminar in Taber on July 4th. I have written a 150-page history of Robert Harris, Jr, and if anyone would like a copy, it is available. Send five dollars to Darryl Harris Harris Publishing, Inc. 360 B Street Idaho Falls ID 83402 I have also written a church history novel, based on the life of Robert Harris, Daniel Browett (his brother-in-law), and their wives. It is called LIGHT & TRUTH, and is the story about how Wilford Woodruff converted the United Brethren congregation in England. The cost of the book, 530 pages, is $20, plus $5 shipping, $25 total. More information is available at harrispublishing.com.

It was so great to find this site at last. Mom mentioned one time that there was a T.W. Harris site. Just looking through brought back so many memories that I have and will always cherish. One of the fun memories I have is of Marion driving the little tractor that was often used for the irrigation pipes, and of Melissa, Bob and I sitting on the pipes, hanging on for dear life as Marion drove the tractor. Other memories, and there are many, are of all the Harris's along Harris Road, of spending so much time with my Grandpa and Nana Harris, Uncle Roy's family, Uncle Witt and Aunt Em and Randy, Sandy, Blake, Keitha and being at Garth and Betty's place with Renee and Diane. Often, I am not able to get away to see my family or to go to family reunions, even though I am in Edmonton. However, you are all in my thoughts and my heart always. I sometimes drive my sons' nuts when I recall different memories of the times I spent growing up with you all in Taber, but those times were special times. Any time that we can get together is a special time. Let me know when the next reunion is and to all that have e-mail, please send me your addresses. Sometimes I feel cut off from family and relatives and would love to stay in touch. So happy to read this site and to look at the pictures. I especially enjoyed readking about Robert Harris Jr. and the others. Would love to see more pictures of everyone...I guess that means I should be brave and get updated ones of myself, Michael and Paul and my granddaughter Kayla (Michael's daughter). Keep up the good work Marion...this site is great!

Just found this web site. Very Nice. My grandmother (Ruth Stella Boyson Peterson) was Emma Boyson Harris' sister. I have and old letter (dated 1949) from Ruth to my father Gerald Bruce Peterson talking about Aunt Em and Uncle Wit and talking about Brent visiting for the summer before school returns in September 1949. Is that Brent still with us? Would love to get in touch with anyone who has information about Ruth Stella Boyson and the (her) Peterson side of the family. John

Neat site, great idea! My dad has a copy of the same picture on the home page. Bumpy is my great grandfather and I remember visiting him in Taber lots when I was a kid. I also remember seeing Uncle Blake there a lot as well. He used to try and freak us kids out with his short, stubby finger-the one that was cut off!

I found this site and I must admit that I have a very talented brother, you did a fantastic job Marion.... starting this familyweb.memories has quite the good feeling to this and when you are interested in going home this is a great thing to do...I see alot has to be done especially when you pop up your own name and there is nothing written. to Carlie ...my how the years have gone by and thinking about Blake was ironic. I came across some things, like memory things, about Blake for all of my five children. When they were born he would either come to the hospital or to the house on on the farm and always brought me flowers and a toy... he just loved my kids and came to visit on a regular bases. He was a very unique person with alot of heart felt feelings. For Kristen Ackerman, hey there cuz would love to hear from you. don't get to Lethbridge anymore, working is cutting into my life so much etc. For those people out there that don't know, I am the second youngest of Roy and Eva Harris and I lay fame to my brother marion who works hard at this web page...for any of you that use to enjoy the family reunions down at the Taber park when we were kids I remember the most about how right it felt to belong to such a massive amount of relatives. We always thought would always be around.... the world has increased in numbers but it is hard to realize how many have left us...that is why memories are so important ...have a great day..Leann
